My Grade 4 EAL students used their imagination and explored "step inside" thinking routine. They had to choose a painting, a drawing or a photograph and "step inside the skin" of a person, a creature, problem or event. My EAL learners thought creatively about different perspectives and viewpoints and had to consider three questions:
- What can the person or thing perceive?
- What might the person or thing know about or believe?
- What might the person or thing care about
